What's With All the Letters?

If you pick up a business card from one of our team members at Move, you might notice a long line of letters behind their name.

Here's a comprehensive list to help you decipher this alphabet soup:

  • ACSM CPT – American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer

  • ACSM EPC - American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist

  • EIM – “Exercise Is Medicine” credential (level 1-3)
    • Staff members who specialize in working with clients who suffer from cardio-metabolic issues such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, etc.

  • FMS CES – Functional Movement Screening Corrective Exercise Specialist
    • Move has level 1 and level 2 FMS CES on staff, denoting a greater depth of education and knowledge

  • MADDOG Certified – A certification for spinning instructors

  • TPI CGFI / CGI – Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor or Certified Golf Instructor

  • IFPA CPT and CSN – International Fitness Professionals Association Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Sports Nutrition

  • Reebok Certified Cycling Instructor – spinning instructor certification

  • Les Mills Master Trainer – Denotes an ambassador on the world stage for Les Mills programming and elite group exercise instructors

  • Les Mills BodyPump, BodyFlow, Sprint - Certified Instructors

  • Certified Ropes Course Facilitator

  • NASM CES, PES and CPT – National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer

  • NSCA CSCS – National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

  • USAW Coach – USA Weightlifting (level 1 and 2) certification
    • Providing courses in proper Olympic lifting technique and exercise progression

  • YOGA Certifications
