Change in Move by BJC Masking Guidelines

Thursday, May 20, 2021

On Friday, May 14, leadership for the city of St. Louis announced their intention to follow the CDC’s new guidelines regarding mask and social distancing requirements for vaccinated individuals. This guidance included the elimination of masking and social distancing in most businesses, including fitness centers.

  • As of May 21, fully vaccinated individuals may remove facial coverings during a visit to Move. People are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 more than two weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or more than two weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).
  • Employees, members, and clients are not required to disclose their immunization status; if employees and customers prefer not to disclose this information, then they should continue with masking requirements. Unmasked members/clients may be asked to provide proof of vaccination (card or picture of card) at a future date.
  • Staff, members, and guests may choose to remain masked and distanced, regardless of immunization status. We ask that you please respect the personal choices of other members regardless of their continuation/discontinuation of masking practices.
  • PLEASE NOTE: The 4220 Duncan Building where Move operates still requires a facial covering for entry.

For your safety and the safety of our community, we ask that if you are not vaccinated for COVID-19, that you remain masked and socially distanced during your visit to Move.

Reminder: Move by BJC will be closed on Monday, May 31 (Memorial Day).

Thank you for your support as we continue our way back to a new normal!
