Types of Massage
Clients may choose either a table massage, where a full body massage can be performed, or a chair massage, where clients remain fully clothed as therapists work on the most commonly stressed muscles, especially in the neck and shoulders.
Swedish - Therapeutic
Swedish massage is the most popular type of massage in the United States. It involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve mental and physical health
Sports - Deep Tissue
Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia
Rehab Massage
Clinical massage therapy (or rehabilitation massage therapy) is a site-specific treatment with a precise goal or outcome in mind; similar to physical therapy. Rehab massage is $70 an hour.
Trigger Point
Trigger point therapy is a bodywork technique that involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue in order to relieve pain and dysfunction in other parts of the body.
Myofascial
A hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.
